The Loyal Greyhounds basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Gilman Pirates to 20 in the Greyhounds league triumph on Friday.

The Greyhounds now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Almond-Bancroft for a non-league contest on Monday, January 9. Loyal will battle a Eagles team coming off a 59-41 league win over Pittsville (Pittsville, WI). The Eagles record now stands at 8-2.

The Pirates (0-7) will now prepare for their contest against Alma Center Lincoln (Alma Center, WI). The Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Alma Center Lincoln was routed by Independence (Independence, WI), 44-40, in a league contest.
