The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 13-6. New Deal lost 67-66 in their recent league challenge against Olton (Olton, TX)

Next up, the Hornets play the Smyer Bobcats (Smyer, TX) in a 2A Region I District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Sudan will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 4-16 record after their 108-34 league loss to Floydada (Floydada, TX).
