Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Salem Seminoles (Conyers, GA) and the visiting Hephzibah Rebels (Hephzibah, GA), saw Salem's basketball squad hold off Hephzibah by a count of 61-57.

With the victory, Salem upgrades its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Seminoles travel to Mundy's Mill (Jonesboro, GA) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 8-4. Mundy's Mill won 56-52 in their recent league challenge against Forest Park (Forest Park, GA)

Next up, the Rebels play the Harlem Bulldogs (Harlem, GA) in a AAA Region 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Hephzibah will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 64-57 league loss to Cross Creek (Augusta, GA).
