North Carolina High School Basketball - Shelby crushes Highland Tech

Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC), 68-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Shelby upgrades its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Golden Lions travel to East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC) to play the Warriors in a 1A/2A Conference 40 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 12-1. East Gaston won 79-35 in their recent league bout against Thomas Jefferson (Mooresboro, NC)

Next up, the Rams play the Cherryville Ironmen (Cherryville, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 40 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Highland Tech will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Ironmen come into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 76-56 league loss to Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC).
