The Maplewood Panthers basketball team (Nashville, TN), was overwhelmed 61-39 in Friday's league battle with the host Hillwood Hilltoppers (Nashville, TN)
The Hilltoppers now possess a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valor College Prep for a 3A District 10 battle on Tuesday, January 10. Hillwood will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 65-47 non-league win over Franklin Classical School (Franklin, TN). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-11.
The Panthers (7-5) will now prepare for their battle against Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet (Nashville, TN). The Royals come into the 3A District 10 battle with a 6-3 record. In their last battle, Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet trounced Murfreesboro Lacrosse (Murfreesboro, TN), 42-39, in a league battle.
