The Smithfield Packers (Smithfield, VA) basketball crushed the host Jamestown Eagles (Williamsburg, VA), 74-50 in Friday's league test.
The Packers (9-3) will now prepare for their test against Poquoson (Poquoson, VA). The Islanders go into the Bay Rivers test with a 2-8 record. In their last test, Poquoson was trounced by New Kent (New Kent, VA), 90-43, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to Lafayette for a Bay Rivers test on Monday, January 9. Jamestown will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 65-53 league win over Grafton (Yorktown, VA). The Rams record now stands at 8-3.
