Johnson Jaguars (Buda, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Westlake Chaparrals (Austin, TX), 70-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Johnson upgrades its record to 20-2 on the season. The Jaguars host Lake Travis (Austin, TX) to play the Cavaliers in a 6A Region IV District 26 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 18-5. Lake Travis won 51-34 in their recent league bout against Bowie (Austin, TX)

Next up, the Chaparrals play the Akins Eagles (Austin, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 26 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Westlake will attempt to upgrade on its 22-3 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 11-11 record after their 72-45 league loss to Johnson (Buda, TX).
