The Joshua Owls basketball team (Joshua, TX), was overwhelmed 80-48 in Friday's league battle with the host Midlothian Heritage Jaguars (Midlothian, TX)

The Jaguars now possess a 12-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Midlothian for a 5A Region I District 8 battle on Tuesday, January 10. Midlothian Heritage will battle a Panthers team coming off a 61-50 league loss to Centennial (Burleson, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 18-5.

The Owls (3-12) will now prepare for their battle against Mansfield Summit (Arlington, TX). The Jaguars come into the 5A Region I District 8 battle with a 17-2 record. In their last battle, Mansfield Summit trounced Cleburne (Cleburne, TX), 74-41, in a league battle.
