The Nome-Beltz Nanooks basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Kotzebue Huskies to 59 in the Nanooks league triumph on Friday.

The Nanooks now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kenai Central for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 7. Nome-Beltz will battle a Kardinals team coming off a 61-51 non-league win over Unalakleet (Unalakleet, AK). The Kardinals record now stands at 4-1.

The Huskies (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Unalakleet (Unalakleet, AK). The Wolfpack enter the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Unalakleet was nudged by Kenai Central (Kenai, AK), 61-51, in a non-league contest.
