In Friday's league outing, the Lamar Raiders (Meridian, MS) basketball squad felled the visiting Park Place Christian Academy Crusaders (Pearl, MS), by a margin of 60-50.
The Raiders (4-7) will now prepare for their outing against Union (Union, MS). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league outing with a 1-0 record. In their last outing, Union thwarted Enterprise (Enterprise, MS), 46-38, in a league outing.
The Crusaders now own a 9-10 record. They play next when they host Leake Academy for a MAIS 5A District 2 outing on Tuesday, January 10. Park Place Christian Academy will clash with a Rebels squad coming off a 61-24 league loss to Simpson Academy (Mendenhall, MS). The Rebels record now stands at 13-9.
