With the victory, Simpson Academy improves its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Cougars host Clinton Christian Academy (Clinton, MS) to confront the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 9. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 4-0. Clinton Christian Academy won 79-46 in their recent league challenge against Tri-County Academy (Flora, MS)

Next up, the Rebels confront the Park Place Christian Academy Crusaders (Pearl, MS) in a MAIS 5A District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Leake Academy will attempt to improve on its 13-9 season record. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a 9-10 record after their 60-50 league loss to Lamar (Meridian, MS).
