The Northeast Lauderdale Trojans tipped the visiting Leake Central Gators basketball team by a final score of 69-65 in Friday's league game.
In their next game, the Trojans face the Choctaw County Chargers (Ackerman, MS) in a non-league game, on Saturday, January 7. Northeast Lauderdale will attempt to move on its 9-6 season record. The Chargers enter the game with a 13-5 record after their 65-38 non-league win over Vardaman (Vardaman, MS).
With the defeat, Leake Central moves to 4-7 on the campaign. The Gators host Choctaw Central (Philadelphia, MS) to battle the Warriors in a 4A Region 4 contest on Wednesday, January 11. The Warriors come into the contest with a record of 2-5.
