Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Ligonier Valley thwarts Valley

The Ligonier Valley Rams (Ligonier, PA) basketball knocked off the visiting Valley Vikings (New Kensington, PA), 69-52 in Friday's league test.

The Rams (3-10) will now prepare for their test against Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA). The Bulldogs go into the WPIAL 3A 3 test with a 7-3 record. In their last test, Shady Side Academy notched a victory over Valley (New Kensington, PA), 54-23, in a league test.

The Vikings now own a 3-9 record. They play next when they travel to Derry for a WPIAL 3A 3 test on Tuesday, January 10. Valley will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 67-50 league win over Apollo Ridge (Spring Church, PA). The Trojans record now stands at 6-6.
