Lockney Longhorns (Lockney, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Ralls Jackrabbits (Ralls, TX), 70-63 in a league bout.

With the win, Lockney upgrades its record to 9-8 on the season. The Longhorns host Olton (Olton, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 2A Region I District 4 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 14-4. Olton won 67-66 in their recent league bout against New Deal (New Deal, TX)

Next up, the Jackrabbits play the Floydada Whirlwinds (Floydada, TX) in a 2A Region I District 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Ralls will attempt to upgrade on its 3-15 season record. The Whirlwinds go into the bout with a 21-4 record after their 108-34 league win over Smyer (Smyer, TX).
