The Lovejoy Wildcats basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Madison Trojans to 50 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sparta for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 18.

The Trojans (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Granite City (Granite City, IL). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 9-8 record. In their last contest, Granite City ran past Marquette Catholic (Alton, IL), 34-31, in a non-league contest.
