Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Macon County Bulldogs (Montezuma, GA) and the host Marion County Eagles (Buena Vista, GA), saw Macon County's basketball squad wallop Marion County by a count of 80-53.

With the victory, Macon County upgrades its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Central (Talbotton, GA) to play the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 6-4. Central won 72-56 in their recent non-league challenge against Lamar County (Barnesville, GA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Chattahoochee County Panthers (Cusseta, GA) in a A D2 Region 6B challenge, on Saturday, January 7. Marion County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 77-16 non-league win over Webster County (Preston, GA).
