Whiteoak Wildcats (Mowrystown, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Manchester Greyhounds (Manchester, OH), 56-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Whiteoak upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Lynchburg-Clay (Lynchburg, OH) to play the Mustangs in a Southern Hills bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Lynchburg-Clay won 55-43 in their recent league bout against Peebles (Peebles, OH)

Next up, the Greyhounds play the East Tartans (Sciotoville, OH) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Manchester will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record.
