California High School Basketball - Valley Christian topped by Maranatha

The Valley Christian Defenders basketball team (Cerritos, CA), dropped 65-55 in Friday's league battle with the host Maranatha Minutemen (Pasadena, CA)

The Minutemen now sport a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hillcrest for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 7. Maranatha will battle a Trojans team coming off a 66-32 league win over La Sierra (Riverside, CA). The Trojans record now stands at 7-11.

The Defenders (11-8) will now prepare for their battle against Loyola (Los Angeles, CA). The Cubs come into the non-league battle with a 11-8 record. In their last bout, Loyola was topped by Notre Dame (SO) (Sherman Oaks, CA), 66-44, in a league bout.
