Melba Mustangs (Melba, ID) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host New Plymouth Pilgrims (New Plymouth, ID), 67-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Melba upgrades its record to 10-0 on the season. The Mustangs host Compass Charter (Meridian, ID) to clash with the Aviators in a 2A Western Idaho bout on Thursday, January 12. The Aviators go into the bout with a record of 2-5.

Next up, the Pilgrims clash with the North Star Huskies (Eagle, ID) in a 2A Western Idaho bout, on Thursday, January 12. New Plymouth will attempt to upgrade on its 9-2 season record.
