Texas High School Basketball - Nixon overwhelms Mission Veterans Memorial

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) and the host Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots (Mission, TX), saw Nixon's basketball squad wallop Mission Veterans Memorial by a count of 91-35.

With the victory, Nixon upgrades its record to 12-11 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Cigarroa (Laredo, TX) to play the Toros in a 5A Region IV District 30 challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Toros come into the challenge with a record of 4-14. Cigarroa lost 56-39 in their recent league challenge against Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX)

Next up, the Patriots play the Rio Grande City Rattlers (Rio Grande City, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 30 challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Mission Veterans Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Rattlers come into the challenge with a 13-12 record after their 56-39 league win over Cigarroa (Laredo, TX).
