Minnesota High School Basketball - Monticello ripped by North Branch

The North Branch Vikings basketball team scored 82 points and held the host Monticello Magic to 40 in the Vikings league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cloquet for a AAA Section 7 contest on Saturday, January 7. North Branch will battle a Lumberjacks team coming off a 67-48 non-league win over Aitkin (Aitkin, MN). The Lumberjacks record now stands at 5-5.

The Magic (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Zimmerman (Zimmerman, MN). The Thunder enter the non-league contest with a 2-8 record. In their last contest, Zimmerman was routed by Albany (Albany, MN), 87-47, in a non-league contest.
