The Saltillo Tigers basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the host Mooreville Troopers to 47 in the Tigers non-league victory on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 15-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nettleton for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 7. Saltillo will battle a Tigers team coming off a 82-70 non-league win over Shannon (Shannon, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 15-2.

The Troopers (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Tishomingo County (Iuka, MS). The Braves come into the 4A Region 1 contest with a 4-13 record. In their last contest, Tishomingo County was nudged by Heritage Academy (Columbus, MS), 51-38, in a non-league contest.
