Arkansas High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon-Enola edges South Side

The Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks (Mt. Vernon, AR) basketball held off the visiting South Side Hornet (Bee Branch, AR), 70-67 in Friday's league contest.

The Warhawks now sport a 10-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sacred Heart for a 1A Region 4 contest on Tuesday, January 10.

The Hornet (9-12) will now prepare for their contest against White County Central (Judsonia, AR). The Bears come into the 2A Region 2 contest with a 8-13 record. In their last contest, White County Central was nudged by Sloan-Hendrix (Imboden, AR), 74-32, in a league contest.
