The Neshannock Lancers (New Castle, PA) basketball knocked off the host Riverside Panthers (Ellwood City, PA), 51-42 in Friday's league test.

The Lancers (7-4) will now prepare for their test against New Brighton (New Brighton, PA). The Lions go into the WPIAL 3A 1 test with a 2-9 record. In their last test, New Brighton went down by Nazareth Prep (Pittsburgh, PA), 47-46, in a non-league test.

The Panthers now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Mohawk Area for a WPIAL 3A 1 test on Tuesday, January 10. Riverside will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 58-57 league win over Beaver Falls (Beaver Falls, PA). The Warriors record now stands at 10-1.
