North Carolina High School Basketball - Topsail trounced by New Hanover

January 6, 2023: Wilmington, NC 28401

The New Hanover Wildcats routed the visiting Topsail Pirates basketball team by a final score of 64-31 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 20 game, on Tuesday, January 10. New Hanover will attempt to move on its 10-1 season record. The Trojans enter the game with a 7-6 record after their 81-71 league win over North Brunswick (Leland, NC).

With the defeat, Topsail moves to 3-11 on the year. The Pirates host Ashley (Wilmington, NC) to face the Screaming Eagle in a 3A/4A Conference 20 game on Tuesday, January 10. The Screaming Eagle enter the game with a record of 4-7. Ashley lost 51-45 in their recent league game against Hoggard (Wilmington, NC)
