The Newburyport Clippers (Newburyport, MA) basketball knocked off the visiting Triton Regional Vikings (Byfield, MA), 68-52 in Friday's league test.
The Clippers (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Hamilton-Wenham Regional (South Hamilton, MA). The Generals go into the Cape Ann - Large test with a 1-5 record. In their last test, Hamilton-Wenham Regional went down by Ipswich (Ipswich, MA), 66-58, in a non-league test.
The Vikings now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Amesbury for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 10. Triton Regional will encounter a Indians squad coming off a 72-55 league loss to Georgetown (Georgetown, MA). The Indians record now stands at 1-5.
