Illinois High School Basketball - Saint Viator can't hold off Niles Notre Dame

The Niles Notre Dame Dons basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Saint Viator Lions to 42 in the Dons league triumph on Friday.
The Dons now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marian Catholic for a East Suburban Catholic contest on Tuesday, January 10. Niles Notre Dame will battle a Spartans team coming off a 54-44 non-league win over Normal Community (Normal, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 12-5.
The Lions (8-10) will now prepare for their contest against St. Patrick (Chicago, IL). The Shamrocks enter the East Suburban Catholic contest with a 11-5 record. In their last contest, St. Patrick nudged Carmel (Mundelein, IL), 45-27, in a league contest.
