North Cobb Warriors (Kennesaw, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Pope Greyhounds (Marietta, GA), 54-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Cobb upgrades its record to 13-1 on the season. The Warriors host Wheeler (Marietta, GA) to play the Wildcats in a AAAAAAA Region 5 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 8-5. Wheeler lost 66-55 in their recent non-league bout against Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, CA)

Next up, the Greyhounds play the Roswell Hornets (Roswell, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Pope will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 4-12 record after their 66-47 non-league loss to North Springs (Atlanta, GA).
