Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Tonopah Muckers (Tonopah, NV) and the visiting Pahranagat Valley Panthers (Alamo, NV), saw Tonopah's basketball squad overcome Pahranagat Valley by a tally of 45-36.

With the victory, Tonopah improves its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Muckers host Lund (Lund, NV) to confront the Mustangs in a 1A Central challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 7-2. Lund won 59-54 in their recent league contest against Round Mountain (Round Mountain, NV)

The Panthers (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Beatty (Beatty, NV). The Hornets come into the 1A Central contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Beatty was defeated by Mineral County (Hawthorne, NV), 53-42, in a league contest.
