Paraclete Spirits (Lancaster, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Salesian Mustangs (Los Angeles, CA), 62-53 in a league bout.

With the victory, Paraclete upgrades its record to 18-1 on the campaign. The Spirits travel to Agoura (Agoura, CA) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Chargers come into the bout with a record of 11-6. Agoura won 69-59 in their recent league bout against Newbury Park (Newbury Park, CA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Cathedral Phantoms (Los Angeles, CA) in a Camino Real bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Salesian will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Phantoms come into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 76-63 league loss to St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy (Downey, CA).
