With the victory, Springfield Southeast improves its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Spartans host Decatur Eisenhower (Decatur, IL) to play the Panthers in a Central State Eight challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 3-14. Decatur Eisenhower lost 49-28 in their recent league challenge against Glenwood (Chatham, IL)

Next up, the Rockets play the Heyworth Hornets (Heyworth, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 7. Rochester will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 10-5 record after their 40-34 league win over Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL).
