St. Anthony Saints (Long Beach, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Serra Cavaliers (Gardena, CA), 58-55 in a league bout.

With the win, St. Anthony upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Saints travel to Jordan (Long Beach, CA) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 8-8. Jordan lost 80-68 in their recent non-league bout against South Pasadena (South Pasadena, CA)

Next up, the Cavaliers play the St. Bernard Vikings (Playa del Rey, CA) in a Del Rey bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Serra will attempt to upgrade on its 9-12 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 15-4 record after their 56-50 non-league win over Leuzinger (Lawndale, CA).
