The Shirley Blue Devils basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the host Viola Longhorns to 48 in the Blue Devils league victory on Friday.
The Blue Devils now sport a 18-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rural Special for a 1A Region 2 contest on Wednesday, January 11. Shirley will battle a Rebels team coming off a 57-27 league loss to Calico Rock (Calico Rock, AR). The Rebels record now stands at 3-16.
The Longhorns (3-17) will now prepare for their contest against Concord (Concord, AR). The Pirates come into the 1A Region 2 contest with a 14-7 record. In their last contest, Concord dropped by Wonderview (Hattieville, AR), 72-49, in a non-league contest.
