Stuarts Draft Cougars (Stuarts Draft, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Waynesboro Little Giants (Waynesboro, VA), 55-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, Stuarts Draft upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Staunton (Staunton, VA) to play the Storm in a Shenandoah bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Storm come into the bout with a record of 7-3. Staunton won 63-22 in their recent league bout against Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA)

Next up, the Little Giants play the Buffalo Gap Bison (Swoope, VA) in a Shenandoah bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Waynesboro will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Bison come into the bout with a 7-5 record after their 54-49 league loss to Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA).
