Calaveras Redhawks (San Andreas, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Summerville Bears (Tuolumne, CA), 29-21 in a league bout.

With the victory, Calaveras upgrades its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Redhawks host Sonora (Sonora, CA) to play the Wildcats in a bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 6-6.

Next up, the Bears play the Amador Buffaloes (Sutter Creek, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Summerville will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Buffaloes enter the game with a 1-4 record after their 73-25 league loss to Sonora (Sonora, CA).
