The St. Edmond Gaels basketball team (Fort Dodge, IA), was overwhelmed 60-21 in Friday's league battle with the host Algona Bulldogs (Algona, IA)
The Bulldogs now possess a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Garner-Hayfield for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 7. Algona will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 44-40 non-league loss to Belmond-Klemme (Belmond, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-1.
The Gaels (0-7) will now prepare for their battle against Eagle Grove (Eagle Grove, IA). The Eagles come into the North Central battle with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, Eagle Grove was overwhelmed by North Iowa (Buffalo Center, IA), 51-28, in a non-league battle.
