The Petoskey Northmen basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Alpena Wildcats to 29 in the Northmen league triumph on Friday.

The Northmen now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cadillac for a Big North contest on Thursday, January 12. Petoskey will meet a Vikings team coming off a 52-38 league loss to Traverse City Central (Traverse City, MI). The Vikings record now stands at 1-6.

The Wildcats (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Sault Area (Sault St. Marie, MI). The Blue Devils enter the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Sault Area triumphed over Cheboygan (Cheboygan, MI), 58-19, in a league contest.
