With the victory, Collinsville upgrades its record to 13-10 on the campaign. The Pirates host Muenster (Muenster, TX) to play the Hornets in a 2A Region II District 13 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 16-6.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Era Hornets (Era, TX) in a 2A Region II District 13 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Alvord will attempt to upgrade on its 9-12 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 15-10 record after their 56-53 league win over Tioga (Tioga, TX).
