The Baird Bears basketball team (Baird, TX), was overwhelmed 70-7 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Eula Pirates (Clyde, TX)
The Pirates now possess a 14-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cross Plains for a 1A Region II District 13 battle on Tuesday, January 10. Eula will battle a Buffaloes team coming off a 84-7 league win over Moran (Moran, TX). The Buffaloes record now stands at 20-3.
The Bears (1-7) will now prepare for their battle against May (May, TX). The Tigers come into the 1A Region II District 13 battle with a 14-9 record. In their last battle, May trounced Rising Star (Rising Star, TX), 52-22, in a league battle.
