The Bell Gardens Lancers basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Montebello Oilers to 22 in the Lancers league triumph on Friday.
The Lancers now sport a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Moreno Valley for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 7. Bell Gardens will battle a Vikings team coming off a 49-24 league win over Temescal Canyon (Lake Elsinore, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 11-5.
The Oilers (7-12) will now prepare for their contest against Alhambra (Alhambra, CA). The Moors enter the Almont contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Alhambra was routed by Mark Keppel (Alhambra, CA), 65-25, in a league contest.
