Levelland Lobos (Levelland, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Big Spring Steers (Big Spring, TX), 57-9 in a league bout.

With the win, Levelland upgrades its record to 11-2 on the season. The Lobos host Snyder (Snyder, TX) to play the Tigers in a 4A Region I District 5 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 11-13. Snyder won 53-15 in their recent league bout against Lake View (San Angelo, TX)

Next up, the Steers play the Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX) in a 4A Region I District 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Big Spring will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Matadors go into the bout with a 14-9 record after their 61-19 league win over Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TX).
