The Tazewell Bulldogs topped the host Bluefield Beavers basketball team by a final score of 56-45 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Virginia High Bearcats (Bristol, VA) in a Southwest game, on Tuesday, January 10. Tazewell will attempt to move on its 4-7 season record. The Bearcats enter the game with a 3-7 record after their 48-29 league win over Graham (Bluefield, VA).

With the defeat, Bluefield moves to 3-6 on the year. The Beavers travel to Summers County (Hinton, WV) to face the Bobcats in a Coalfield AA game on Tuesday, January 24. The Bobcats enter the game with a record of 9-2.
