Caldwell Hornets (Caldwell, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Manor New Tech (Manor, TX), 51-11 in a league bout.

With the win, Caldwell upgrades its record to 12-14 on the season. The Hornets travel to Taylor (Taylor, TX) to clash with the Ducks in a 4A Region III District 22 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Ducks go into the bout with a record of 7-18. Taylor won 47-37 in their recent league bout against Giddings (Giddings, TX)

Next up, the clash with the IDEA Rundberg Rattlers (Austin, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 12. Manor New Tech will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Rattlers go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 36-33 non-league loss to McDade (McDade, TX).
