Washington Panthers (Washington, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Canton Little Giants (Canton, IL), 58-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Washington upgrades its record to 15-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Morton (Morton, IL) to play the Potters in a Mid-Illini bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Potters come into the bout with a record of 11-7. Morton lost 59-38 in their recent league bout against Dunlap (Dunlap, IL)

Next up, the Little Giants play the Limestone Rockets (Bartonville, IL) in a Mid-Illini bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Canton will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Rockets come into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 50-39 league loss to Pekin (Pekin, IL).
