The Catskill Cats (Catskill, NY) basketball crushed the host Coxsackie-Athens Riverhawks (Coxsackie, NY), 73-52 in Friday's league test.

The Cats (8-0) will now prepare for their test against Mechanicville (Mechanicville, NY). The Red Raiders go into the non-league test with a 8-2 record. In their last test, Mechanicville walloped Emma Willard (Troy, NY), 50-40, in a league test.

The Riverhawks now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Taconic Hills for a Section 2 Patroon test on Tuesday, January 10. Coxsackie-Athens will encounter a Titans squad coming off a 66-21 league loss to Maple Hill (Castleton on Hudson, NY). The Titans record now stands at 4-4.
