The Sumner Tigers basketball team (East Sullivan, ME), was overwhelmed 71-29 in Friday's league battle with the host Central Red Devils (East Corinth, ME)
The Red Devils now possess a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mattanawcook for a C North battle on Saturday, January 7. Central will confront a Lynx team coming off a 31-28 league loss to Dexter (Dexter, ME). The Lynx record now stands at 3-2.
The Tigers (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Shead (Eastport, ME). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, Shead was overwhelmed by Deer Isle-Stonington (Deer Isle, ME), 45-22, in a league battle.
