Texas High School Basketball - Jefferson ripped by Chapin

The Chapin Huskies basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Jefferson Silver Foxes to 7 in the Huskies league triumph on Friday.

The Huskies now sport a 19-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Burges for a 5A Region I District 1 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Chapin will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 69-18 league win over Canutillo (Canutillo, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 18-2.

The Silver Foxes (1-17) will now prepare for their contest against El Paso (El Paso, TX). The Tigers enter the 5A Region I District 1 contest with a 13-8 record. In their last contest, El Paso was routed by Andress (El Paso, TX), 51-26, in a league contest.
