Davis County Mustangs (Bloomfield, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Chariton Chargers (Chariton, IA), 68-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Davis County upgrades its record to 4-7 on the season. The Mustangs host Central Decatur (Leon, IA) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Central Decatur won 57-24 in their recent league bout against Wayne (Corydon, IA)

Next up, the Chargers play the Clarke Indians (Osceola, IA) in a South Central bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Chariton will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 7-1 record after their 69-26 non-league win over Cardinal (Eldon, IA).
