Cross Trojans (Cross, SC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Charleston Math & Science Riptide (Charleston, SC), 54-17 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cross upgrades its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Trojans host Baptist Hill (Hollywood, SC) to play the Bobcats in a A Region 8 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 0-11. Baptist Hill lost 42-36 in their recent league bout against Palmetto Scholars Academy (North Charleston, SC)

Next up, the Riptide play the Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators (Hollywood, SC) in a A Region 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Charleston Math & Science will attempt to upgrade on its 1-13 season record. The NaviGators come into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 40-22 league win over Burke (Charleston, SC).
