Mississippi High School Basketball - Myrtle can't hold off Charleston

The Charleston Tigers basketball team scored 37 points and restricted the visiting Myrtle Hawks to 31 in the Tigers league victory on Friday.
The Tigers now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Palmer for a 2A Region 2 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Charleston will battle a Dragons team coming off a 49-43 league loss to Myrtle (Myrtle, MS). The Dragons record now stands at 0-7.
The Hawks (3-13) will now prepare for their contest against Strayhorn (Sarah, MS). The Mustangs come into the 2A Region 2 contest with a 0-5 record. In their last contest, Strayhorn was nudged by Independence (Independence, MS), 57-25, in a non-league contest.
